To connect Claude, Cursor or another MCP client to Manilo, add https://api.manilo.app/mcp as a server in the client and sign in with your Manilo account. Manilo hosts the server, so there is nothing to install on your computer.
What is MCP?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is a shared format that lets an AI assistant use tools from another service. Through it, your assistant works with the records in your Manilo account instead of text you paste into the chat.
How does sign-in work?
Sign-in uses OAuth, a standard that lets the assistant act on your Manilo account without ever seeing your password. The client opens a Manilo sign-in page, where you log in and approve access. There is no API key to create or paste.
The assistant only gets the data your request needs, and connecting does not pass your full history to Anthropic or OpenAI. Privacy and your data has the details.
What you need
Manilo Cloud is required, at $5.99/month or $39.99/year, and it starts with a 7-day free trial. Plans and pricing lists everything else Cloud includes.
Connect Claude.ai or Claude Desktop
In claude.ai or the Claude Desktop app:
- Open Settings, go to Connectors and choose Add custom connector.
- Type Manilo as the name and https://api.manilo.app/mcp as the server URL.
- Click Add, then sign in to Manilo on the page that opens.
Connect Cursor
Open the Integrations page, pick Cursor and use the one-click install button, which opens Cursor with the Manilo server filled in. When Cursor opens, click Install and finish the Manilo sign-in that appears in your browser.
To add it by hand instead, put https://api.manilo.app/mcp in mcp.json, the file where Cursor lists its MCP servers.
Connect any other MCP client
If your client can add a remote MCP server, give it https://api.manilo.app/mcp as the address.
What the assistant can do once connected
Claude, Cursor and ChatGPT reach the same Manilo server, so the more than 30 tools described in Connect Manilo to ChatGPT work in every client. Requests are plain sentences, such as “What did I spend on groceries last month?” or “Move 200 dollars from savings to my euro account”.
Whatever the assistant adds or changes is saved to the same account your iPhone app uses. To bring in a full bank statement, follow Import a statement by chat.
Disconnect Manilo from Claude or Cursor
To revoke access, remove the Manilo connector or server in your client’s settings. The assistant loses access right away, and nothing in your Manilo account is deleted.
Connected through the old api.ledgy.app address?
Connections made with https://api.ledgy.app, from before Ledgy was renamed Manilo, keep working, and new ones use https://api.manilo.app/mcp.
